Since 2010, I have narrowed my mission that started out as a generalist IT Admin/Manager into a Cybersecurity Technologist and Business Leader. My career began in the SF Bay Area and led to spending a decade at Smarsh that grew from 4 of us into into the Unicorn it is today, supporting thousands of highly regulated businesses and consecutively winning the top right Gartner leader in compliance technology for highly regulated industries. With focus on Cybersecurity, I started automating vendor due diligence around SAS70 turned SOC 2. ISO 27001, HIPAA and the beginning of FedRAMP for Smarsh. In the InfoSec Director role I saw the need for better cybersecurity tools and with a decade of SaaS experience I felt confident enough to start Securecast in 2015 which was acquired by Webroot in 2017 and Carbonite + OpenText (Nasdaq: OTEX) in 2019. In 2020, I circled back to the challenge of automating cybersecurity compliance joining up with a team of 4 in Portland, Oregon as co-founder of ControlMap acquired by ScalePad in 2023 with the goal of helping SMB's via the MSP community improve their cybersecurity posture through cybersecurity compliance framework management and automation.In my roles as Co-Founder and Director of Cybersecurity I have worked with some of the largest financial institutions, banks and highly regulated organizations in the world and am pleased to bring that experience to the SMB and mid-market where I can make the biggest impact. An SF Bay native with roots in Portland, Oregon a love for Timbers soccer currently residing in Prescott, Arizona.
