Projects typically involved an initial site assessment, outlining general design requirements, supervision of land surveys, review of surveys and cross section outputs from our AutoCAD drafters, engineering design for the given project including highway design, vertical/horizontal profile calculations, geometric analyses for intersections, traffic impact analyses, traffic counts, quantity calculations and cost projections. Upon completion of the design I would create a tender package which the client would provide to contractors for bidding purposes. The tender packages would include quantity calculations, standard drawings, special construction procedures, traffic control requirements and important dates and deadlines. Upon completion of the tender process I would be responsible for on-site supervision for the duration of the construction period. On-site duties would include initial safety meetings, communication with the contractor, communication with the client representative, monitoring the safety, speed and quality of the work, updating quantities and cost calculations for daily submission to the client and QC testing for materials used.
