I am responsible for all Maintenance, and Construction at the Dr. Robert E. Young Water Services Center, the DeHart Dam facility, and three pump stations within the water system. Other functions include: administration, supervision of maintenance personnel, watershed management, recommending and implementing new chemical feed systems, equipment upgrades and improvements, interacting with regulatory agencies, and twenty four hour surveillance and security of the DeHart Dam. This position also provides support for other bureau divisions, and auxiliary facilities as needed.

I was responsible for specialized electronic maintenance and repair. My duties included the maintenance, repair, calibration, troubleshooting, and installation of electronic instrumentation and equipment such as chlorine analyzers, turbidimeters, ph meters, pressure and level transmitters. I also did some programming and troubleshooting of our internal Scada sytem. I reported directly to the Maintenance/DeHart Dam Superintendent, or any other Water Bureau Manager. I was expected to be self motivated, plan details of each job and carry it to completion with limited supervision.

I was responsible for all phases of traffic light work including: hanging new traffic heads, lamp and LED rplacement, pedestrian crossing alarms, troubleshooting intersection control cabinet processors, loop detectors, and collision monitors.

I was responsible for operating heavy duty specialized equipment requiring a class B CDL.
