Responsible, across the entire enterprise, for ensuring that Kaiser complies with all laws, regulations, licensing and accreditation standards in all its business activities. Compliance Program at Kaiser is truly comprehensive with a centralized National Compliance Office (NCO) as well as Regional Compliance Officers and staff (RCOs) in all 7 Kaiser regions and Compliance officers in all major National Departments including Pharmacy, Human Relations, IT, National Facility Services, Health Plan and other functions. In addition, there are Hospital Compliance Officers for all 37 Kaiser owned hospitals.NCO has numerous specialized teams including: Medicare, Care Delivery, Health Plan,Privacy and Security, Ethics and Integrity, Training,Special Investigations, Data Analysis and others. Recently I have been named Chief privacy Officer, which reinforces responsibility for protected members and employees Protected Health and other Private information as required by numerous federal and state laws and regulations.As of July 1, 2016 I fully retired from Kaiser Permanente.
