As a Damage Avoidance Specialist within the Access Design & Network Integrity, my role is to assist in preventing underground damage to Telstra’s infrastructure caused by contractors and the general public, through raising awareness and highlighting the importance of utilising the services provided by Dial Before You Dig (DBYD). Maintaining technical skills to achieve Telstra’s visions is important and managing damage avoidance has required specialist planning to manage risks appropriately. Systems used: MapInfo, Nearmap, Service Manager, Rapid, Crux, ConSOL, Lotus Notes, Netmaps, and NIARC to action feasibilities which allow me to create new fibre paths and determine any costings for Telstra and our customers seamlessly and with minimal impact. Responsibilities: • Initiated contact with contractors and the public who have requested plans from DBYD and highlight the need to arrange a locater to accurately gauge where Telstra’s infrastructure is buried. • Interacted with Telstra field staff to ensure that damage that is not recoverable is handed off to the relevant work group, so it is not given to the Recoverable Damages Group • Developed new initiatives and proposed new and emerging technologies to assist in avoiding damage Achievements: • Assisted in helping team achieve quarterly and annual targets • Achieved an overall Rating 3/5 for FY19

As a Network Planner in the Business Services & Planning Group (BSP) my role was to assist in cutting over corporate and enterprise copper services to a wideband solution. Maintaining technical skills to achieve Telstra’s visions is important and managing migrations seamlessly has required specialist planning to manage risks appropriately. I would be happy to discuss specific scenarios demonstrating plotted courses of action and data analytics to determine effectiveness of the transitions. I used systems such as Widefeas, MapInfo, TPD, PlanNet, Magpie, Netmaps, Multiman and Lobster to action feasibilities which allow me to create new fibre paths and determine any costings for Telstra and our customers seamlessly and with minimal impact.Responsibilities:• As a Network Planner in Site Exit and Rationalisation, my role is to determine whether it is profitable for Telstra to shut down local copper exchanges no longer deemed operational and sell the land. I then need to evaluate how to remove the remaining copper fed services and the cut those services over to fibre via a Fibre Access Point (FAP)• Analyse technical drawings to ensure the site is suitable for removal i.e. Make sure there are no other carriers with equipment inside the exchange and no mobile towers on the land proposed for sale.• Seconded to Business Services & Planning Group (BSP) to assist in cutting over corporate and enterprise customers copper services to a wideband solution• Maintain flexibility in being able to move across different technologiesAchievements:• Assisted in helping team achieve quarterly and annual targets• Achieved an overall Rating 4 (Meets all and Exceeding Most KPI's) for FY17 and FY18

• Analyse Area Plan documents created by the Area Planner, in consultation with NBNCo, and then produce a plan that is both cost effective for NBNCO, yet beneficial for the customer (general public)• Plans will involve and vary across technologies FTTn, FTTc, FTTb, FTTp and HFC• Liaise with the Area Planner to discuss any possible setbacks or potential issues.• Perform Dial Before Dig on all proposed nodes sites to ensure that local utilities are not impacted• Conduct Asset Transfer to determine whether equipment will be recovered by Telstra or transferred to NBNCo.• Work with NBN Planning SME and CEF and Team Manager to ensure HLD Plan is ready to be submitted to NBNCo.• Maintain flexibility in being able to move across different technologies• Produce professional formal documents to be viewed by various key shareholders.

• As a Service Specialist I performed the role of WFC whose duties include outage and congestion management, Level 2 support for BBS testers, N-K fault management, CEO complaints and escalations.• Along with the WFC role, I also support and have a high level of understanding of the FTTP, Corporate PSTN, ADSL Broadband and NBN networks and work streams.• Level 2 support for NBN FOH staff• Liaise with Wholesale Group to assist with ISP investigations and escalations.• Effectively test, diagnose, & interrogate NBN service including IP Voice, NGC and Broadband services using such tools as T&DM, IRIS, CMS, SMS and the NBNCo Service Portal.• Pattern detection of broadband faults and parent creation and management to prevent any unnecessary truck rolls.• Assist field technicians with Level 2 Investigations across all work streams• Wide-ranging knowledge of the BigPond suite including Siebel, Moby, Discovery, T-Box and T-Hub
