Veritas Technologies LLC is an international data management company headquartered in Santa Clara. It specialises in data management, cloud management, data insight, and cyber security solutions including the market-leading enterprise backup software NetBackup and data management platform Alta. I work within Veritas’ Enterprise team in the UK as the main sales contact for 20 large enterprise accounts and 20 acquisition targets. The message I take to market is simple: I am in a unique position in being able to offer my customers the ability to protect, backup and secure their valuable data and business applications across any workload, on any platform and any cloud. In addition, I can address my customers’ data vulnerability gaps, which have arisen in the past three years as businesses have been forced to become digitally agile to survive lockdowns and mobilise their workforce. Resiliency strategies have not kept pace with this accelerated digital transformation and the resulting gap raises the risk of ransomware attacks, unplanned downtime and potential data loss leading to business failure. I worked within Dell’s Enterprise tier in the UK and globally, as a data protection specialist alongside the core acquisitions team to advise, educate and enable targeted new logo customers by developing a strategy for end-to-end protection of their company data. Together we ensure that the strategy is in alignment with the company’s plans for digital transformation and adds additional value, not just from a cost perspective but by offering increased operational benefits and higher availability of data than their existing solutions. This ultimately gives those customers the ability to gain and maintain competitive advantage over peers in their industry. I was responsible for around 100 Mid-Enterprise accounts for existing and new business and carried a personal financial target of £1.8M GP for 2012.• I used knowledge of market trends and business intelligence to focus my new business campaigns toward then relevant topics such as MDM and BYOD.• I championed and drove engagement to formal business partner status with two new Vendors; LogRhythm (SIEM) and Good (MDM/BYOD).
