The aims were to increase fitness plus improve physical and mental health. There was a focus around behaviour change techniques and the use of goal setting.Excess to Success was an exercise referral scheme aimed at inactive adults with chronic health conditions. A bespoke gym programme and/or access to a suitably modified exercise class was offered for 12 weeks at the City Council's leisure centre. Focus was on the use of motivational interviewing to facilitate behaviour change. Part time post - 18 hours per week
