At Lensway, a global visioncare e-commerce business selling contacts, glasses and sun glasses, I was responsible for sales and marketing as well as the project organization (IT, ERP development, web development, business development). I was later on appointed COO and took on responsibility for supply chain, logistics and purchasing. In this period Lensway grew from SEK 50M to SEK550M, expanded into 8 new markets, launched brick and mortar stores, opened up a wholesale business, acquired two companies, launched numerous strategic product partnerships and delivered many projects to improve productivity. I managed over 80 people.

As COO of Virtue, the key objective was international expansion. Virtue expanded into five new markets and acquired two companies. Virtue clients included over 50% of FTSE 100 and 20% of Fortune 500 companies, and we had strategic partnerships with the London Stock Exchange, Stockholm Stock Exchange and over 80 IR and PR agencies. On the media side, we were providing streaming services to major broadcasters and record labels. Through the reverse takeover of Tornado, the company gained a listing on the London Stock Exchange. In 2003, we decided to focus on corporate communication. The media business (clip distribution, watermarking, live streaming etc.) was sold to Interoute and Associated Press. Virtue was later acquired by World Television, after which I left the business post integration.

When working as an equity analyst, I realized the potential in streaming media technologies in targeted one-to-many communications in the financial and media industries and saw an opportunist for a start up. I formulated a business plan, raised money, recruited a team and launched Streamway. In the first year, Streamway built a production and distribution software platform, hired a sales team and obtained its first clients, and launched a strategic partnership with Reuters and Financial Times. The company had 16 employees and reached break even after 15 months. Streamway later merged with Virtue, where I joined as COO.
