I am responsible for managing the quality assurance department for an orthodontics manufacturing business. Our quality management system is certified to ISO 13485:2016 and the EU's MDD (93/42/EEC). We specialize in high precision, high volume manufacturing.

I was responsible for maintaining a quality management system for a class IIa medical device, compliant with ISO 13485:2016 and the EU's MDD (93/42/ECC). We have passed many certification audits, including most recently an MDSAP audit in 2019.I wrote the procedure for clinical evaluation based on MEDDEV 2.7/1 Rev. 4, and worked with our team of researchers to document the clinical evaluation report for our product. I have also developed a system for risk management based on ISO 14971.

I was responsible for developing manufacturing process plans and fixture designs using SolidWorks for 3D modelling and AutoCAD for 2D manufacturing prints. I have made processes for aerospace landing gear, nuclear reactor cores, and automotive tooling components.

I worked two co-op terms at Centra while I was attending Conestoga college for mechanical engineering.During my first co-op term, I learned how to use Autodesk Inventor 3D and designed shelving and storage solutions, as well as carts and bins, specific to the requirements of our manufacturing work cells. I learned about lean manufacturing, 5S, and was introduced to a high precision aerospace manufacturing environment.During my second term I worked in the engineering department to study manufacturing processes, and worked with engineers to develop processes for small and medium sized aerospace components, as well as large sub-assemblies supplied directly to Boeing.
