I’m the founding director of full-service Design and Construction company, Beam (www.beamdevelopment.co.uk). We specialise in fine residential developments for private clients across London & country; from major restoration and renovations of historic buildings to new-build projects, Design & Build.I founded Beam to work at the intersection of design and construction - alongside architects, developers and homeowners - to enhance the quality and buildability of their projects. By managing all aspects of construction and built design, my team and I are uniquely placed to guide clients through the entirety of a project and collaborate with architects and developers on existing plans or putting together the perfect team for a new project. Several of our projects have featured in Grand Designs magazine, Home and Gardens, and the Telegraph magazine. My experience and industry insights have come through a range of different positions as my career has evolved; from a craftsman to site manager, project manager and now, managing director. I’m passionate about quality construction and built design, and regularly commentate on industry issues, as well as serving as a jury member for the BLT Built Design Awards. In my spare time, I also mentor start-up businesses (through the Innovate for Growth Programme) and compete in ultra trail running events.
