I've been a LiDAR Analyst for 4 years, and have responsibilities above and beyond the core role. A LiDAR Analyst is required to receive, calibrate, coordinate classification for, and QC/QA LiDAR data. Additionally, I am responsible for the management and execution of the TreeRisk product which helps vegetation management teams from power companies effectively police their power lines by showing them where trees are encroaching on their transmission catenaries. This important work allows the vegetation management teams to help prevent power outages in large areas by protecting the lines from tree fall in and requires extensive knowledge of PLS-CADD and ArcGIS.To effectively facilitate these responsibilities, I have developed extensive planning, coordination, organization, and management skills. I've also created documentation to allow others to reproduce the same procedure with tools that my team has helped develop from the ground up. I am responsible for the training of new team members.
