Kelleigh's Cause is not-for-profit corporation formed to raise awareness and fund research to find a cure for the rare disease, Arteriovenous Malformations (AVM). AVM is an abnormal connection between arteries and veins which bypass the capillary system. Although many AVMs are asymptomatic, they can lead to serious medical problems. AVM is a rare condition that affects approximately 300,000 citizens and subject those inflicted to symptoms of severe pain, bleeding, headaches, strokes and potential heart failure.Kelleigh’s Cause is an IRS 501(c)3 not-for-profit and was founded by Kelleigh Gustafson who is currently working as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist. Since May 2010, Dan Gustafson has served as the Executive Director of the Oneida Indian Nation Gaming Commission (OINGC). In this capacity he manages the regulatory oversight for all Class II and Class III casino gaming and licensing of employees for Oneida Indian Nation gaming facilities.The Nation operates the Turning Stone Resort Casino, Yellow Brick Road Casino, Point Place Casino and multiple remote gaming facilities in the community. Duties of the Executive Director include the management and leadership of the Commission staff: including its Executive Staff, Internal Audit Section, and Inspectors Unit.In addition to his OINGC leadership, Mr. Gustafson has other sovereign tribal responsibilities.
