Understanding the Environmental impact of Business is best done by understanding the business affecting the environment. Prior to stepping into the realm of Managing our facilities environmental impact I began by understanding the nature of our product and worked my way up to supervising the production of that product across a wide variety of different goods. With a strong understanding in how production happens, I leveraged those skills in learning how the facility functions, how it was maintained, and finally how it was cleaned. With the knowledge of the facility and how it operates from one end to the other, my ability to track problems to their source is bolstered by prior understanding and experience. Behind that ability to problem solve is years of experience as a United States Marine. Building the necessary leadership skills to effectively lead a team through successful missions required developing strong critical thinking skills and quickly processing an ever changing environment to find solutions that met the spirit of my command when those above could not be present to deliver new orders.
