Achievements: - Partnering with DCS engineer, optimized process/limitations in the DCS for Hydrogen Plant to improve safety & make it more energy efficient. - With assistance from plant engineer, reduced Electro-Chlorination Plant from dual train operation to singular train operation to prolong life expectancy of electrolysis cells, reduce frequency of cell cleans & quantity of chemicals used for cleaning whilst expanding the limitation boundaries within equipment to ensure smooth plant performance whilst ensuring NRG does not exceed their environmental license. Duties:- Understanding & controlling chemical dosing circuits to ensure maximum efficiency of turbine andboiler operation in plant & using SCADA system.- Operating & monitoring plant utilities; demineralization, ammonia, hydrogen, hydrazine, effluenttreatment.- Authority approval for steam quality & plant performance during unit runups.- Diagnosing malfunctions & poor performances within equipment through in field inspections & PITrend programs.- Environmental process monitoring.- Quick plant recovery due to upsets within power station.- Taking samples & altering flows dependent on sample results off visual observation & laboratoryanalysis.- Understanding P&ID sheets, isolation lists, permits, SWMS & ABP’S (Authorised BestProcedures).- Isolating equipment such as tanks, pumps & circuits as well as issuing permits for maintenance.- Purging of lines for isolations using nitrogen.- Conducting all initial air tests for confined space permits site wide.- Update & create new ABP’s.- Raising notifications of faulty equipment.- Unloading of chemical truck deliveries. (Ammonia, Sulphuric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide).- Strong contractor relations through ordering of chemicals & equipment.- Accountable for safety & integrity of myself, coworkers & plant equipment.

- Part of first on ground crew commissioning new plant.- Authorising/creating procedures for plant operation start up/shut downs (ABP’s, SWP’s, JHA’s &SPL’s).- Training team in understanding plant operations & process flows by conducting dry runs ofcommissioning stages with the use of P&ID’s, PFD’s and plant walk through.- Applying prior knowledge to enhance efficiency & safety of operations during commissioning &sharing information to my team & the other teams.- Operating safely & efficiently within defined limits to meet daily production targets, volume,quality and yield.- Diagnosing malfunctions & poor performances within equipment upon CRO’s communication(control room officer).- Control room operations (SCADA Program). Monitoring entirety of plant to ensure all targets can be achieved & if challenged, being able to manipulate process flow to resolve concerns.- Taking production samples & altering flows dependent on sample results off visual observation.- Operating plant utilities; demineralized water systems, ammonia, nitric acid, plant & instrument air,CO2 removal scrubber systems, waste removal & LPG storage.- Issuing permit to work documents, isolating equipment such as tanks, pumps & circuits.- Thorough understanding of SIMOPS & how each isolation/work party will impact plantcapabilities/safety.- Accountable for safety & integrity of myself, coworkers & plant equipment.- Raising notifications of faulty equipment & conducting incident reports.- Documenting well structured & detailed hand over logs for incoming team leader.- Unloading of chemical truck deliveries.
