I was born and raised in Everett, WA where I was deeply immersed in the 90's "Grunge Era" of music. Spending every spare minute and dollar on musical pursuits I kept a positive path. I joined the Navy at the age of 18 and explored the country and planet for the 14 years to follow. For recreation, I play guitar and while in the Navy I enjoyed a "world tour" with performances in Yokosuka, Hong Kong, Pattaya Beach, Dubai, Jebel Ali, Sydney, Perth, Hobart, and various other locations.After the Navy, I went to college. I earned my Bachelor's in Mathematics at Montana State. I knew I wanted to become a teacher but I was uncertain on which endorsement. I decided to let General Studies determine my strengths. History was the runner up followed closely by Art. Becoming a teacher I began my career in two of the most diverse atmospheres; College and Two American Indian Reservations. Teaching at small schools allows for great diversity. I could not imagine having to teach six sections of Algebra 1 for an entire year.My adventures have finally brought me home and living the dream of becoming a professional in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest. This was a goal I set for myself at 16 and stayed on target...somewhat diligently.
