All the same responsibilities with the added challenges of owner the company with two other colleagues, Neil Clinkard and Charlie Kerr who between us, have over 45 years with the company. Everything else with Property Care Ltd continues as normal with hopefully no change to our recognised high standard of work for our clients and customers.

My role includes everything as I was currently doing but also includes more of the managerial roles as well. I look after all of the tendering and project management of the medium to larger schemes and projects. I have built up an excellent client base as the company has as well and we get a lot of repeat business based on how we work, the way we work and how we deliver the project on time, to budget and with finished with the quality our clients have come to know and expect of us.

www.propertycareltd.co.ukCarry out detailed measured surveys of properties and other buildings and open spaces.Developing detailed CAD designs and working drawings for both clients and in house construction operatives along with full, detailed specifications of works and bill of quantities.Preparing and agreeing cash flow forecasts, monthly valuations and final accounts with the company accountant and clients.Pricing bill of quantities and tenders up to the value of approximately £2.6 million. On many occasions, this has lead the company to be awarded the works in question.Preparing detailed programme of works and liaison between all involved to ensure this is strictly adhered to.Developing a concise knowledge of the DDA and Building Regulations ensuring works are specified and constructed to comply with current legislation.Liaison between clients and on site operatives following meetings, specification changes, and throughout all stages of the works.Project managing on site construction works, liaison between the procurement manager and suppliers, sub contractors and operatives.Having a clear and concise understanding of CDM Regulations, current site health, safety and environmental matters and complying with site rules at all times when on building sites.

Carry out full, detailed measured surveys and translate these to detailed CAD drawings. On occasion, the designs would be presented in a hand drawn format.Develop conceptual designs and discuss multiple designs with clients ultimately leading to detailed working drawings.Liaising with town and county planners, preparing and submitting full planning applications, Design & Access statements and justification statements. Also sourcing material samples to satisfy planning conditions.Liaising with Building Control officers, preparing and submitting Building Notices and Full Building Regulations submissions and addressing any points raised during this process.Preparing full detailed bespoke or NBS schedules and specifications of works.Sourcing suitable contractors, issuing tender packages and managing the tender process though to evaluating and arithmetically checking the tenders and making a recommendation to the client.
