Dan has broad and deep cross-functional experience with Teradata starting in 1991 including sales, marketing, product development, product management, customer support and cloud operations. Culminating with becoming a member of the Executive Leadership Team in 2005, and a Section 16 Company Officer from 2007 onward. Dan played a pivotal role helping Teradata shape the landscape for enterprise-scale complex analytics. He was at the forefront of working with customers to provide business value and innovation. This included customer-facing roles in multiple facets of the business, with fifteen years in sales, nine in International, and six living abroad in Europe. Sales recognition includes the Chairman’s award given to the top global sales leader. At different points he led the global Teradata marketing organization and was the Executive Vice President supporting the engineering and product management functions. He was Chief Customer Officer responsible for over 5,000 associates across the global consulting centers in India, region consulting, sustaining engineering, support services, and led the public and private cloud delivery teams. Dan earned a master’s degree in business management and graduated with distinction (top 10%) from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Angelo State University, graduating summa cum laude.

Dan began career with NCR Corporation in 1985 in Dallas, Texas as a sales person, eventually becoming a first-line sales manager for major commercial accounts. In 1991, he was appointed Director, Marketing for the U.S. Communications Industry, eventually taking over as Assistant Vice President, Global Communications Industry Marketing.
