Expertise in alkyd, polyester, urethane, acrylic and epoxy resin synthesis (and hybrids of these) in both solvent based and water based systems. Developed water based primer and sealer system for cement board siding. Developed polyester and polyurethane coating resins to replace epoxy resins in can coatings. Developed solution acrylic for extrusion coating that reduced RMC by 60%. Synthesized new epoxy E-coat resin which reduced edge corrosion from 85% down to 15%. Responsible for technology transfer of epoxy E-coat production to European toller.
