In this role my main responsibility is maintaining and building upon integrations with various ecommerce platforms such as BigCommerce, Shopify and Miva. Integrations focused on parsing often complex automotive fitment and product data with the goal of allowing the end user to find products based on vehicle specifications.I also work directly with clients to set expectations and provide regular updates during development and provide support after their stores are made public.In this role I maintained front-end systems utilizing Angular as well as REST APIs that operated on a mixture of Node Express and Go. I also took part in efforts to consolidate disparate APIs and microservices into a single .NET 6 application.

At Sprint I operated on a diverse team of business analysts, project managers, database admins and developers. This team operated at a director level and was primarily tasked with providing both high-level and granular analytics to various groups within the organization. Our reporting served executive decision making down to individual employee metrics.In this role I functioned on a team of 3 web developers with the goal of automating and webifying the majority of the team’s reporting. From the ground up, we built an application hub based on an AngularJS front-end and Node Express back-end that was eventually migrated to PHP. We created our own user profile and authentication system based on NTLM and layered in a custom permissions system. Over time as our applications gained attention, we were tasked with creating more complex web tools and eventually we had an active user base in the thousands. We created tools to assist front-line agents, supervisors, all the way up to the executive level.

At Bowhead I operate as a contractor to the US Army Corps of engineers for whom I work on several different projects in a multitude of languages and technology stacks such as Python and ASP.NET. Much of this work is done alongside personnel specialized in advanced GIS or mapping. This has allowed me to learn a great deal about graphing raw geospatial data onto platforms like Google Maps. Here I received training in SCRUM and several new technologies while also providing valuable feedback on application architecture.

In this role I functioned as the main workhorse in a two-man development team that supplied superior business solutions to every level of company leadership. With my first venture into the realm of development being the assembling of Visual Basic scripts to extend the functionality of Microsoft Excel, Access and Outlook it was a significant shift in perspective working in a server environment.While administering a Microsoft IIS server and two Apache servers our team implemented new applications and functionality on nearly a weekly basis. The majority of these operated on a PHP backbone in which we developed our own HTML templating standard and for deploying content to a user base of roughly 100 customer support personnel. Nearly all applications were accompanied with their own JSON based RESTful API which were used to power their user interface as well as allow integration with other applications and provide extended functionality to power-users.To handle most automated tasks we also established a Python 2.7 environment on the server. I developed a script that would run constantly, simulating a Windows service, and read from a task schedule housed within a MySQL database. It would determine what tasks needed to be ran and execute them accordingly.
