I am proud to work in an organisation that changes lives on a daily basis.Boccia is a completely inclusive sport, which can be played by anyone regardless of age, gender, ability or disability. It’s the only sporting option for many severely disabled people.Boccia England’s work includes developing and supporting boccia clubs; working with partners to reach inactive people (e.g. in care homes and community groups); engaging children through schools; organising competitions; and developing talented athletes.We’re uniquely placed to make a massive difference to the lives of so many people who otherwise would not have access to the benefits that sport can bring.Through my role at Boccia England, I oversees programmes in education settings including the Boccia Skills Award and the Schools (Under 19’s) competitions. This role requires me to have good communication both directly with schools and with volunteers and competition organisers who deliver local events and sessions on our behalf. In addition to this, I am working as part of the development team supporting colleagues to deliver their work stream and achieve Boccia England vision the 'Playing Boccia Changes Lives'In my spare time enjoys being outdoors exploring new places on walks and runs, identifying places to revisit with his camera and practice photography.
