Dan Heller is the Executive Vice President of Commercial Sales and Marketing for Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, an acclaimed Pacific Northwest wine company founded in Washington State in 1934. In addition to its Washington vineyards and wineries, the company owns prestigious estates in Oregon.A veteran sales leader and executive with more than 35 years in the U.S. beverage alcohol category, Dan has excelled in growing awareness and distribution for domestic and international wine brands. During his tenure with Ste. Michelle, Dan has been integral to Ste. Michelle’s expansion from 300,000 cases to the millions of cases sold today. In addition to his previous role managing domestic go-to-market execution with 100 + person sales and sales support team, Dan is now leading teams responsible for national accounts on and off sale , international sales and distribution, customer marketing , category management and insights , wine education and e-com. His leadership role has furthered the overall growth in awareness and sales for the Washington wine industry which contributes more than $8B to the state’s economy each year. Dan’s first post-university job established his “calling” for a long-term wine industry career. Along with his enthusiasm for Ste. Michelle’s people, places and products, Dan actively coaches and mentors professionals throughout the industry with skills-building insights related to sales, communications and customer service topics. Dan previously served on the Senior Executive Committee for Women of the Vines & Spirits as well as on the group’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Task Force.
