Responsible for the educational, administrative, and fiscal leadership of a Pre-K-8th-grade independent school that was voted best charter/non-public school every year by State College magazine since the award’s inception (2015). My duties included the development, evaluation, and revision of curriculum according to best practices for education. We added a successful Pre-K program (2010) and accomplished several significant program improvements.

Duties included budget development and monitoring, financial planning, human resources and facility management. Ensured the school’s compliance with all personnel related programs, recordkeeping, and workplace issues. Optimized the school’s retirement and health care plans. Directed technology development and adoption of the school. Integrated educational practices and improvements with budget parameters to ensure long-term success.

Planned and developed an integrated middle school program and curriculum. Served as program’s lead teacher for math, science, and social studies. Designed, taught, evaluated, and updated all the curriculum for the Middle School program. Planned and coordinated field trips and other initiatives such as community service and career exploration.

Responsibilities included recruitment and supervision of field staff, directing member programs and initiatives, and generating over $50,000/month in billable services. Assisted in the production of annual conferences and workshops. Advised private landowners and provided conflict mediation services between corporations, government agencies, and local organizations.
