I am a Director looking after the KPMG South West Modelling team. A highly advanced Excel user, I have built and maintained very complex financial and cost models for Defence, Financial Services, and Banking clients. I am currently on a long term project with a major defence client, managing a complex change strategy programme focused on modelling. I have a wealth of experience in implementation of Centres of Excellence, as well as multiple model types, such as Financial, Whole Life Cost, Investment Appraisal and many others. I am also a skilled model reviewer with an eye for the small things that matter. Past experience as a Public Sector consultant has provided me with strong consultancy skills, as well as experience of restructuring and further UK Defence knowledge. Previously, I have worked as a Finance Analyst in the banking sector, giving me an in depth understanding of the workings of a corporate finance team. In addition I am experienced at working in a highly efficient and effective Financial Accounting team, with a strong background financial reporting and analysis. Starting out as a single person supporting Defence work I have grown the business and the team to over 20FTE across multiple locations, with ambition and scope for further growth. In order to do so, I have had to create compelling and well considered business cases, demonstrating the business requirement and potential for increased revenue. I am responsible for managing the team day to day and consider myself to be a strong leader and effective manager.
