Dan started in Solar in 2010 and has been part of the ever-accelerating impact that Renewables play in our transition to a net-zero carbon electricity grid. As Senior Engineering and Interconnection Manager at Mainspring Energy, Dan’s primary responsibilities are managing the Project Delivery Engineering and Interconnection processes for getting projects installed and producing reliable, clean energy. Additionally, he drives continuous improvement and the quality engineering effort to improve the installation with each project. Dan's experience ensures designs are optimized for site, climate, utility rate tariffs, and incentives. Every project is engineered to the highest quality and design standards to reduce business risk and help achieve project success. Electricity generation from renewables is the most important driving factor in the clean energy transition. Dan is committed to the values of safety & quality, and providing solutions for customer needs in renewable energy, energy storage, microgrids, and emerging generation technologies that reduce our consumption of fossil fuel sources and drive our journey to a carbon-free energy future.Dan's previous experience includes design, estimating, subcontractor management, cost control, and contract administration. He thrives in stimulating positions which require diverse skills, energetic team members, and the application of knowledge with detail-oriented problem solving. Dan's educational background is electrical hardware engineering with an emphasis in IC design. His graduate project took a communications transceiver design through an entire ASIC cycle from paper specifications through IC fabrication and microchip testing. Major skills include project management, estimating, PV CAD design, power system design, NEC compliance, strong communication, a positive outlook, and the ability form solid working relationships. Dan is motivated by the challenge to deliver high quality engineering and his leadership excels in a team environment.
