I am a hard working undergraduate marketing student at Newcastle University, with the aim to make the most of all the academic, social and sporting opportunities on offer over the course of my three years studying. So far, my course has offered a diverse range of modules to gain a broad insight into the world of marketing, such as business strategy, analysis, global marketing, research and consumer behaviour. We are assessed in multiple forms, which will leave me with a broad range of skills that I can take into the world of work. In particular, we have the opportunity to work with real and live clients, where we carry out business reports and analysis of an organisations structure and mission. University takes you out of your comfort zone and leads you to connect with new people, make new relationships and learn how to manage work and social life. This leaves you with greater confidence, communication skills and adaptability to new environments.

I worked alongside my father as part of a work experience program. My father, his business partner and I worked specifically on the re-marketing and re-branding of TUI Airline after their major decline in 2020. I attended client meetings and offered refreshing perspectives in creative design and used my skills in Adobe illustrator to translate my ideas into brand ideas. We worked closely as a team and re-designed the structure of their website to target more specific demographics. The use of bright colours and a 'less is more' approach meant we were able to successfully meet their brief.This work has been invaluable in my development as a marketeer and someone greatly interested in the success marketing has on business, no matter the budget.
