Dan Hook is the VP of GCBS Engineering Services and Solutions where has previously held Field Service Engineer, Sales Engineer, COO, VP and was most recently the President. Dan focuses his efforts on Field Service, Engineering, and Service Shop synergies and growth including acquisitions.Dan holds a Masters degree in Electric Power Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, and he maintains his professional engineer’s license in Washington, Oregon, Utah and Arizona. He earned an MBA from Pacific Lutheran University with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Closely Held Businesses.The Inter-National Electrical Testing Association (NETA) certifies Dan to a Level IV Technician. The National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) certifies him to Level IV in the area of Electrical Testing Engineering Technology. He is also a Certified Journeyman Electric Motor/Generator Repairman. Dan spent over a decade in the US Navy as an Electrician’s Mate (Nuclear Community) maintaining and testing all aspects of generation, distribution, control equipment, and distribution system protection as it applied to nuclear submarines. In addition, he completed two successful Nuclear Instructor tours, employing both on the job training and classroom environment, to mentor the US Navy’s future Nuclear Officers and Enlisted men. Dan was awarded the Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal (NAM) for meritorious service vital to national security aboard the USS Topeka SSN 754.
