Responsible for P&L, strategy, trading, and marketing development. Representing the company in the market at large and participating as day to day trading and management of the overall business.

Launching a ground up trading and marketing business to connect Max assets to global customers. Responsible for teams in Houston and Geneva connecting strategy, customers, and investments.

Responsible for building, running, and managing a North American crude supply and trading business. Over 5 years we have grown our volumes to >600MM barrels annually traded with an asset base of 6MM barrels of storage with associated pipeline/dock capacity. Managed more than 200 employees located in Houston, Denver, Oklahoma, Wyoming, and Greenwich. Worked closely with our Calgary office to coordinate business. Traded a speculative crude book, ran the large-scale customer and physical trading book, and managed our global coordination with consistent and significant p&l for US business. Developed an industry leading, 3rd party volume based, asset integrated trading and export business. Additionally, responsible to integrate US supply and trading into Global market. Worked extensively with senior management and colleagues in Geneva, London, Beijing, and Singapore to create global crude strategy and drive development of end markets/customers. Worked on projects across Europe, Asia, and Africa. Completed industry first exports of Bakken and DJ Common crudes to Asia. Responsible as senior management in the US to coordinate with Geneva office on daily matters related to PnL, market updates, financial reporting, HR, strategic planning and acquisitions. Represent company at industry events, speaking engagements, and on professional committees/board seats.

Launched a new office for the company in a critical market space. Grew from a one person office to a 15+ person team covering multiple basins and dozens of customers. Led acquisition of strategic assets and marketing relationships and established a core strategy for the company in the emerging shale production space. Managed a team of diverse skill sets to create a highly efficient business realizing significant p&l and creating reading strategies on physical and financial markets.

Led a ground up development of a comprehensive crude oil supply and trading business. Leveraged the companies existing logistics, asset base, and market position on refined products to establish an entirely new business unit. With an emphasis on the emerging Crude By Rail space, we were a first mover in the Bakken, Uinta, DJ and Permian basins. We established manifest to unit train capabilities and moved from complete startup to significant market participants in several markets. Moved more than 50,000 bod by the end of second year. Scaled systems, managed customers, negotiated long term supply agreements, coordinated with management and operations, and hired and led a successful team to help establish the company in an entirely new commodity space. Participated with ownership and top management on overall strategy and company growth. Worked closely with customers management to coordinate strategies, align incentives, and establish long term value creation.

Supported retail integration of ULSD and renewable fuels projects. Developed and generated new strategies, revenue centers, and business solutions. Topics included: Retail supply, ethanol supply and trading, gasoline blending, renewable fuels and credits trading.

Managed portfolio of clients and projects across the US crude/gas/liquid upstream, refining sector, downstream, terminal and retail space. Worked across production, pipeline, refinery, terminal, and retail supply chains to provide engineering, regulatory, and commercial strategies. Special concentration on the Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel transition and implementation for Major Integrated Oil and leading Retail outlets. Visited hundreds of physical locations across more than 40 states and built a deep/vast understanding of supply chains, operations engineering, regulatory frameworks and implementation and opportunities to create value across the sector.

Responsible for maintenance and development of a network of 10 refined products terminals across the Midwest and East Coast. Included: Pipeline, tank, truck, and marine assets. Projects included process control, physical construction and maintenance, regulatory compliance, and commercial strategy development. Worked closely with commercial and external stakeholders to keep business growing while meeting all required permit, planning, construction, and budgetary requirements.
