A lifetime futurist and technology enthusiast, I have been on the innovation side of the diffusion equation for over 20 years. The next 5 – 10 years may be more transformative, and disruptive, to the commercial real estate market then the last century; industry is not prepared. In many ways, over the next decade and beyond, technology will force this and many other industries to make profound changes to even the most fundamental levels of existing business paradigms. Born and raised in Calgary, I have been involved in the real estate market since 2003 working with commercial clients ranging from single office start ups to companies with thousands of employees all over the world. Throughout my career I have seen and experienced the technology trends that are currently taking hold of the commercial real estate industry. As such, my experience in real estate has aligned my interests in future technologies to many applications but specifically as they pertain to the commercial real estate market. My partners and I work on developing the next generation of technologies for Smart Cities in both the private and public sectors including but not limited to the areas of Distributed Leger, AI, Data Science, and Data Aggregation Technologies.
