Rail SISS (station information and security) (CCTV, PA, CIS) Test and Commissioning engineer, also recently started to carry out test for operational telecoms on rail. Project for Lloyd's Bank data Centre. Tasked with commissioning exterior CCTV to Rotakin® standard (EN50132-7:1996) on a full Axis IP system including static, PTZ and thermalimaging cameras. The system also employed an analytics systemimplemented through a Synectics (http://www.synecticsuk.com/) softwareplatform through which configuration was required to achieve 100%detection.

Passion is a large super club in the north of England based in Leicestershire which can facilitate up to 3000 people in 3 multilevel roomsJob required complete installation, maintenance and supervision of all electrical and signal systems within the building. This included most mains fed sub-systems, audio, video and lighting signal equipment. Was also responsible for sound quality in each room along with trouble shooting and maintenance during running hours. Good communication was needed to lease with operators and contractors to protect and ensure correct exposure to costly high powered equipment. This role was undertaken mostly on weekends and while still employed by Ascom Telenova and at a later point with Safehomes during the week.

Radio Electronics EngineerStarted work with Unit repairs. These duties involved repair of RF transmitter and receivers for data and speech transmission including intrinsically safe specifications. Experience of RF repair spanning VHF/UHF for the first yearThen moved to system construction. Duties include setup, test and programming of bespoke communication solutions to supply the industrial and leisure industry. Role required set up and test of digital radio equipment and hardware interfacing and ROM programming using hexadecimal assembly sets. I later began to work with Ericson DECT phone exchanges for both digital and analogue with the occasional need for 3rd party integration. Knowledge of TCP/IP networks and Microsoft software suite gained throughout career and general interest activities.

Role involved work with large scale fire and security alarm systems including Halon Fire prevention equipment. Job required test and repair of dense populated PCB’s down to component level. Held position of senior repair technician for the later 6 months of employment
