Pila - Italy

Interski specialises in taking schools and groups from the UK out to the Aosta Vally in Italy. I work with them as a Ski Instructor as and when there is work available. I have now completed two season with Interski, working with them for their peak weeks. During this time, I have received excellent feedback from the schools I have had the pleasure of teaching.

When the Leisure Industry was effected by COVID 19, I undertook work with Tesco. Working in the .COM department at Tesco, I started as a picker for home delivery orders and progressed to being a delivery driver in the home delivery vans.

Working at Legoland as an Operator in the Rides and Attractions department, operating two of the highest tiered attractions in the park. I also help to train new employees and existing on these attractions.

Val D'Isere - France

Wanting to take my outdoor career forwards I have headed out to France to train and undertake my L2 and L3 qualifications.BASI L2 is a two-week course/assessment working on piste performance, variable conditions, bumps and BASI's Central Theme. [PASSED]The BASI L3 is a modular qualification that is split into the following;- 200hrs of teaching experience [DONE]- BASI Coaching Course [PASSED]- L3 Mountain Safety Course [PASSED]- Second Discipline - L1 Adaptive Instructor [PASSED]- Second Langage [PASSED]- The Evolution of BASI Online Course [PASSED]- L3 Teaching Course [PASSED]- L3 Technical Course [PASSED]Most of the modules are a week-long course but require a lot of training before hand to ensure that you are at the level. For more information about them you can view the links below. For my training, I am working with ICE (The International Centre of Excellence). They have helped to develop and shape my skiing to prepare myself for the exams/courses. We have done everything from Race Training to Ski Touring and a lot of work on our Piste Performance Skills. I have been with them since November and they have been nothing but excellent!

Swinley Forest, Bracknell

Wanting to get back to my grass routes I have decided to step out of retail and have taken on an instructors role with Go Ape. In my time here I have been trained to run all of the activities at the site (Tree Top Adventure, Forest Segway and Tree Top Junior), have been made a rescue trained staff member and have also taken on the local marketing for Bracknell.

High Wycombe

Running a medium size Blacks branch in the Eden shopping centre - High Wycombe. Working closely with my area manager we have made Footwear into a big seller for the store upping the turnover and getting ahead of the competition. High Wycombe is very competitive in the outdoor market with Blacks, Millets, Trespass and Sports Direct all being on my door step. This makes the store an enjoyable challenge to work with.

Taplow, Maidenhead

Took an opportunity to work with Mountain Warehouse in their Taplow branch. I was in charge of a team of 8-10 people driving them to hit store and individual targets. I took over the store when we made the change from summer to winter. This involved doing lots of layout changes, clearing old stock and prioritising top promotional offers in key locations. In my time there I was responsible for training and coaching two new members of staff and carrying out appraisals for all team members from sales assistants to my assistant manager.

Camberley

Leading a small team to deliver sales targets and KPI's set down from our area manager. Driving fantastic customer service through example and by providing on going coaching to my colleagues Analysing sales data and making adjustments to the store improve revenue. Recruitment of new staff, and providing training which lead to promotion for three colleagues.

Bracknell

Instructing skiing from Novices to Instructors. Providing training for staff at the Centre with ongoing assessments and coaching. Appointed First Aider for the Ski Centre and Ice Rink. Reception duties such as bookings, payments, diary management and admin. Organised and managed events such as Santa's Grotto and Open Days. Assisted with advertising and marketing. In charge of improving the recreational business at the centre by putting in new price structures and offers.

Serving on the shop floor ensuring that every customer is welcomed and offered assistance. Advising customers about the products in store and answering any technical questions to aid them with their purchase. Maintaining good house keeping on the shop floor and in the stock rooms. Was put in charge of maintaining and re organising the stockroom areas to aid with replenishment on the shop floor.
