Security Strategy Practice: Manager

Responsibilities include researching, investigating and analysing rival companies and individuals as well as stakeholders, to gain a competitive advantage and insight, this is done via desk research and networking; investigating and analysing the movements and suitability of potential commercial partners and M&A possibilities; developing the strategies for the Middle Eastern military aerospace market as well as the domestic, and international security markets; horizon scanning and threat analysis: analysing relationships within countries to gain tactical advantage; economic and business environment analysis; analysing potential commercial and political risks arising from interaction with identified countries, companies and personnel. I have responsibility for mapping out the industrial, political, economic, competitive and defence & security landscapes of potential new markets as well as the UK & US Government security landscape; developing business environment profiles for commercial security markets; assisting in domestic and global strategic and tactical analysis. I also answer any direct questions relating to the Middle East and North Africa region as well as providing campaign support and analysis for competitions in the Middle East and North Africa, South East Asia, and global security markets.

Manager at a cross-party group for young professionals. Membership of 1,000 and growing, drawn from civil service, think-tanks, politics, academia, business and graduate schools. Organised and delivered timely and relevant events for YPFP London and ensured that they were attended by high profile and relevant speakers.

Responsibilities included assisting in the organisation, management and running of an international forum and exhibition in Bahrain including liaising with high level personnel from governments, military, industry and academia; research and development of country profiles and forecasts on economic, political and security issues and trends; leading the Foreign Labour Security project (economic, political and security threats) on behalf of a foreign government; authoring publishable works for various RUSI publications; and assisting in the editing of a book on energy security in the Middle East. I organised, and was involved in Track II negotiations on Afghan Border Security.
