I am a leveraged finance professional with 10 years of experience, including five years of direct business development and deal sourcing experience for middle market private equity funds. In my current position as a Vice President on the Portfolio Originations team at Antares Capital I am responsible for originating investment opportunities from the Antares portfolio of over 450+ middle market companies for private equity clients. My current role focuses on sector coverage and strategic business development to position Antares to win lead left mandates by providing industry insights and investment opportunities to top tier private equity sponsors. My role includes the development and execution of client presentations, portfolio analytics and cross-functional strategic projects. Before Antares, I was a Research Manager at GLG where I worked to lead an effort to develop and commercialize a deal sourcing platform that leverages GLG’s network of over 400,000 experts to bring its clients proprietary deal flow. Prior to GLG, I was an Associate, Business Development for three years at Milestone Partners. Milestone is a Radnor, PA based private equity group that takes a value-oriented approach to investing in companies in the lower middle market. As the Associate on the Business Development team I worked to cultivate and maintain a network of sell-side investment bankers in order to provide a full pipeline of actionable investment opportunities. The key duties of my role included:• Relationship management with high value sell-side investment bankers via in person meetings, industry conferences, email marketing, and a dedicated calling effort;• Pipeline management of all active investment opportunities, including collaboration with senior investment professionals • Reporting and analysis of historical business development data to focus future efforts.
