Web developer and librarian for the Quaternary Research Center (QRC)'s Special Collection, which houses approximately 25,000 items. It includes the libraries of the late A.L. Washburn, Professor Emeritus and first Director of the QRC, the late Richard Foster Flint, a prominent Yale University Professor of Geology, and the reprint collection of the late Troy Péwé. The Quaternary Research Center is the original interdisciplinary center at the University of Washington. The “Quaternary” refers to the last 2½ million years of Earth history, corresponding to the great ice ages and intervening interglacial periods. Knowledge of Quaternary environmental changes facilitates an understanding of earth history in relation to the modern environment and future change.
