With partners, like Jeppe klockaresson, I have worked in Stockholm, Dalarna, Skåne, Småland. There are more places in Sweden that seek our help to manage their sustainability programs. So I continue as before. So much for retirement:) But, I see we are making a break through in Sweden how to form managemnet structures that work long term with staff and funding. Vasterbotten County, Sweden

Employed full time three years to implicate a sustainability, quality and export program for the region of Västerbotten in Northern Sweden. The region is abundant with rivers and lakes. It has a magical coast line. Natural Baltic Salmon, Grayling, Brown trout, Arctic char all thrive here. The Salmon swim from the South Baltic and enter the rivers of Västerbotten to spawn. Umeå on the coast is a vibrant growing university city. Reindeer graze at the outskirts of Umeå in winter and follow their ancient paths back into to mountains towards Norway in the spring. Some of Sweden’s best writers come from here and the forests, fields and marshland echo their tales. I am pleased and thankful to be here and look forward to fulfil my pledge to create sustainable tourism. This time in a main Swedish destination that find it essential to be more sustainable. VisitSápmi is the Sámi initiative to promote sustainable and responsible Sámi Tourism. In cooperation with Gaaltije South Sámi Culture and Information Center, The Sámi Parliament and the Swedish Sámi Association VisitSápmi is becoming an independent organization during spring 2015. I am heading this work together with Lennart Pittja.

Östersund

Develop Sustainable and Responsible Sámi Tourism thru VisitSápmi along a South Sámi Mountain Route (Jämtland and Dalarna County). Culinary travel, culture and nature experiences are to be improved and promoted.

Kiruna, Sweden

Just started a 50 % job to help develop sustainabile tourism in Destination Kiruna.

Kiruna And Åre

In 2014 Neil Rogers and I assessed two Swedish tourism destinations on sustainability. Kiruna in Swedish Lapland and Destination Åre. We used the Global Sustainable Tourism Council criteria for destinations. We also checked how and if Kiruna could use the European Tourism Indicator System since they had signed up to participate in developing this methodology.

Heading the introduction of and running of the Swedish Ecotourism quality label Nature's Best. Also chairman and executive in the Swedish Ecotourism Society that owns Nature's Best. Worked half time at VisitSweden to market and develop Swedish ecotourism for the foreign market.

Jämtland Northern Sweden

Expert in river restoration, stock monitoring, fishery management planning and fishery tourism development. Also civil servant work with permits and assessments of industry impact on fresh water systems.
