Experienced Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Inventor, Entrepreneur and Founder. Dr. Kapp began his career at Kaiser Engineering where helped developed industry standards for reporting of environmental toxins. He helped General Electric in the creation of its first annual environmental reports. Dr. Kapp worked with the EPA, FEMA, DoD and DoE to create computer simulations of industrial accidents and terrorist attacks at critical infrastructure in the petrochemical industry in the US. Following a successful career in Environmental Engineering and Consulting, Dr. Kapp attended medical school at the University of South Florida.He completed general and plastic surgery residencies at the Ohio State University where he was a member of the Residency Review Committee and Computer Informatics Working Group. In honor of these accomplishments, Dr. Kapp was admitted to the Zollinger Surgical Society. Dr. Kapp served as the Anastasi Fellow in Plastic Surgery at the Boston University Medical Center. He began private practice in West Palm Beach, Florida at the Palm Beach Plastic Surgery Center. He has co-authored a number of important consensus documents in the field of plastic surgery. Dr. Kapp is frequently a speaker at national plastic surgery meetings on both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. He is an Editor of the Journal of Wound Care. Dr. Kapp and like-minded entrepreneurs founded MDLive, and developed a national telemedicine company where he served as the Vice President and National Medical Director. Dr. Kapp worked with C-suite executives in the healthcare industry and Fortune 500 corporations to create this product and was instrumental in the first deployments of the product. MDLive was sold to Cigna (2021) for $3 Billion, the largest acquisition of a telemedicine business to date. He has helped found and launch a number of healthcare businesses, including Recros Medica, Stealth Healthcare, Mimolea, and Coverwell. He serves as a consultant and advisor to a number of public and private healthcare companies. Dr. Kapp was previously a Board Member of the Economic Council of Palm Beach and is currently a Board Member of the Center for Creative Education. He has previously served as the Chief of Surgery at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, where he is the currently Chief of Plastic Surgery.Of all his accomplishments, Dr. Kapp is most proud of his advocacy in literacy and reading.
