Successfully negotiated the award of a 10 year, $10B contract with ASD (R&E) and the USAF. In my current role, I advise Laboratory staff and management on matters that involve our governing documents, government regulations, and complex contractual issues with DoD and Non-DoD Government Agency Sponsors. This includes identifying and solving issues which may involve fiscal law, procurement law, ethics law, vendor disputes & claims, data rights, conflict of interest matters, technology transfer opportunities (Stevenson-Wydler), support agreements (NDA and IP agreements) and FAR & DFARS compliance. Together with the MIT General Counsel, I also implement our ethics & COI program which includes leading a risk management-based team that collaboratively responds to both internal and external audit findings. Responses can include drafting or revising administrative procedures, mapping risks to key controls, implementing risk mitigation plans, and recommending policy changes.

Advised Air Force personnel during the planning and negotiation of several research & development contracts for advanced tactical data link networks at the aerial layer of the Global Information Grid, working closely with senior staff to ensure enhanced communications and increased situational awareness were deployed on time and on cost on several arial platforms. In doing so, my team successfully deployed the Dynamic Retasking Capability (DRC) to theater in response to an Air Force Urgent Operational Need.
