Collaborated on national and international advocacy efforts with organizations like the NAACP, the Dream Defenders, the Advocates for Human Rights, Legal Momentum, and other leading human rights activists. Participated in and/or prepared for a series of working meetings in front of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights on behalf of a client’s Supreme Court case. Assisted with efforts to bring international attention toward cases of gun violence in America by helping prepare a briefing in front of the United Nations in Geneva. Conducted advocacy strategy meetings with advisors from the offices of Senator Gillibrand, Congressman Polis, and others on the Hill

Assisting the campaign with voter registration strategies and expanding President Obama’s support within the University of Miami’s campus and the Coral Gables community.

Wrote briefings for meetings with Hill staffers and contributed to the organization’s newsletter, blog, and presence on the Huffington Post, among other media. Coordinated with the Board of Directors to hold several fundraisers and awareness events with high-profile partners such as the Washington Nationals baseball team. Assisted in preparation for Becky’s speeches at legal conferences and expanded our network of participants with the national college youth tour

Attended policy briefings on behalf of the Senator and subsequently prepared summaries for appropriate staffers, among other special tasks. Handled daily operations in the office from maintaining organization in the correspondence and front offices to addressing constituents’ requests and concerns.

Spearheaded the creation of hundreds of Students for Hillary groups nationwide through netroots outreach and energized a student leadership network within the campaign. Helped design and publish the campaign’s youth initiatives through new media technology such as Hillblazers.com. Supervised nationally broadcast campaign events featuring the Senator and her supporters, and facilitated fieldwork in multiple primary and caucus states such as Iowa and Virginia. Managed own team of interns by the end of the campaign and was responsible for determining and delegating the group’s tasks.
