I was a director of both the bank and director and Audit Committee chair of the holding company since 2012 and was asked to step in as interim CFO February 2014 due to the unexpected retirement of the then-current CFO. Served for 15 months and discovered an error in tax policy that ultimately increased equity capital by several million dollars after tax. Also served on the management Committee, the 401k Committee, chaired the Investment Committee, and helmed exploratory ESOP initiative. Served with Comptroller Collins Cook and Sr VP Accounting Beth Marshall, to whom much credit must be given for keeping the financial ship on a steady keel.
