We all have a passion in life, my passion is engineering. I am actively looking for a job and I would like to bring this passion to my job. I recently graduated, with distinction, from Clarkson University. I have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Computer Science. In addition to the required college undergraduate coursework, I have taken several hands-on courses in machine shop practices and welding to increase my knowledge of engineering and prototyping. I have experience with 3D printing, I was responsible for maintaining and operating large 3D printers during my summer internship at Vara Safety, I own a 3D printer, and I have used 3D printing for a number of school projects. I have experience with design work through summer internships and independent projects. From there, I have learned better approaches to designing prototypes and problem-solving. Since the beginning of 2020, I have been conducting undergraduate research on the manufacturing and testing of nanoscale metallic composites and nanofoams, under Dr. Ioannis Mastorakos (professor at Clarkson University). I am currently writing a scientific paper on my research with Dr. Ioannis Mastorakos.One thing I have learned during my time as an engineer is that you should always use the right tool to do a job. This fact also applies to knowledge and design, to get the best design you have to use the most appropriate knowledge about the design problem. I hope what may set me apart from other candidates is that I believe in aggressively learning about the field, the particular knowledge, and the skills necessary for the current design problem I am working on. I have spent my time at Clarkson, my time during internships, and much of my free time, learning.
