I serve as an instructor in the Liberal Arts Department where I teach communications courses. My goal in teaching is to show the students the importance of effectively communicating their thoughts and ideas through clear and concise speaking and writing. In today's world, the use of social media and a global economy, individuals need to ensure what they say is what they intended to convey.

-- Mentor and guide junior probation officers teaching them the judicial processincluding identifying appropriate dispositional options for both formal and informal courtactions. -- Review and approve contracts with outside vendors wishing to provide services toclients who are placed on probation with the Fairfax County Juvenile Court. -- Created the Dispositional Matrix for the Fairfax County Juvenile Court that providesguidance and direction to all court workers to reduce disproportionate minority placementsin secure facilities. -- Monitored and approved billing and budget compliance with private vendors. -- Negotiate and approve contracts with private vendors seeking to provide services toFairfax County. -- Collaborate with agencies within Fairfax County as well as with private vendors toresearch appropriate dispositional recommendations for juveniles.-- Coordinate a team of eight individuals representing different agencies across FairfaxCounty to determine identification of Serious Habitual Offenders. -- Monitor a team of seven individuals representing different units within the FairfaxCounty Juvenile Court to ensure compliance with state standards for the Serious HabitualOffender Program.-Identify conflicts and establish a plan to reduce them through creative methods.-Create a training plan for new workers and monitor the outcomes to ensure the materialis effectively presented.
