Amigo's Lending Review Team was responsible for the review of higher-risk lending decisions. Recruited as part of the company's restructure, I was brought into the operations team with the directive to re-develop the end-to-end customer experience for renewable energy systems. My responsibilities included:• Review of Photovoltaic Electricity systems, Solar Thermal Hot Water Systems and Air Source Heat pump systems• Re-design of the customer contact map and the logistical organisation of the installation department's in order to best support the company's expanded business model• Direct line management over the nationwide team of installers and the warehouse-based staff – in total some 62 staff• Responsible for stock ordering both within the UK and throughout the EU plus its distribution from HQ to our assorted depots and teams throughout the UK• Principle point of contact for all day-to-day operations, recording installation progress, trouble-shooting any issues that arose and offering technical support to our staff and customers• Increased Operational delivery by over 50%, including a six-week period in November 2011 that saw some 216 Photovoltaic installations completed – a new record for the company.

Using my already established skills of situational awareness and acting in high pressure scenarios, I enrolled at the College of Air Traffic Controllers situated in Hurn, Bournemouth. The course required the passing of written and oral examinations on a variety of air-traffic related subjects as well as practical assessments on the simulation equipment. The college reinforced my RN training in crisis management, decision-making under pressure and the abilityto react well under pressure whilst striving to achieve set objectives. Having proven myself in atarget driven environment where co-ordination with other colleagues is essential for the successful meeting of goals, I feel that my strengths are evident when working either individually, or as part of a team.

Having been selected for and passing my Admiralty Interview Board I enrolled as an Officer Cadet at Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Passing out into active service on June 2005.• Promoted to Lieutenant, I completed the Junior Warfare Officers Course and was appointed to HMS MERSEY as Gunnery Officer before completing the All-Arms Commando Course and being appointed to HMS OCEAN as the Gunnery Officer where I split my duties between onboard security and tactical issues whilst serving as the second in command of 9 Assault Squadron Royal Marine• Responsible for the welfare, advancement and development of 12 subordinates• As well as being responsible for the navigational safety of the ship, I was also required to take the initial actions required in the event of a ship-borne emergency• Regularly called upon to present courses of action with regards to ship-borne security and to implement the chosen solution with minimal guidance• Gifted me with a strong set of investigative skills and, given the base knowledge appropriate to a situation, an ability to solve problems having made a thorough analysis and choose a suitable course for further action.
