started as a laborer in 1986 and took a civil service test to become a highway technician on a survey crew. in 2 years I became a highway technician II. after about 10 years I became a construction crew chief on the survey crew. worked in construction for nearly 20 years total. in 2007 I made a career move into the office where I process and map field data. we also compute inplace alignments and existing right of way, build existing terrain models etc. 2 years ago 2019 I was promoted to a engineering specialist. currently work with land negotiations and platting for new or existing right of way.
