Modeled hope for guests, mostly homeless due to substance abuse along with other mental illnesses. Many guests were severely mentally ill (SMI). Performed administrative duties including admission, progress notes, incident reports and discharge. Resolved conflicts utilizing de-escalation training, avoiding the need for physical restraint. Helped with resumes and GED preparation. Led recovery focused groups.

Completed a year-long residential recovery program. Provided information, comfort, and emotional support at orientation. Assisted with nonprofit administration including fundraising, records management and event planning. Designed Salesforce.org for program administration and outreach activities. As final-phase house leader modeled appropriate attitude and behavior, enforced rules and resolved conflicts. Additionally assisted with GED preparation, leadership training and finding employment.
