Having graduated in 2005 with a Mechanical Engineering Degree and 2 internships in the plant and facilities side of engineering I quickly found myself immersed in the consumer electronics industry as a Thermal Engineer at InFocus. I spent 2 years at InFocus and learned techniques that ranged from Design of Thermal Systems, Development of PID Control Algorithms, and DOE testing techniques.After moving on from InFocus I decided to take my career in a different direction and explore other opportunities. In doing so I found a position as a Transmission Engineer at Portland General Electric. It has now been over 5 years since stepping onto that path and I remain engaged in multiple projects that continue to challenge me. I find myself learning and mastering a full range of Transmission Line Design skills including structure design, structure spotting, insulator design, conductor sagging/stringing.
