My role at Agilent involves helping to determine how, and in what form, to implement new software features and functionalities for our ICP-OES, MP-AES and AA instruments.

Melbourne

- Responsible for ICP-OES method development and validation for the analysis ofnew materials and products.- Developing and carrying out analytical testing procedures in accordance withclient requests, project budgeting, quality guidelines and instrumentalcapabilities.- Responsible for handling and interpreting large amounts of analytical data, aswell as development of systems to automate data handling and the generation offinalised client results for reporting purposes.- Writing and approving of reports for clients based on results obtained fromanalytical methods.

Tasmania

- Responsible for ICP-OES method development and validation, as well as generalmethod improvement with the goal of increasing laboratory productivity.- Tested and validated new ICP-OES methodology resulting in a halving of samplethroughput time with no statistically significant impact on result quality.- Responsible for overseeing sample and reagent preparation with the aim ofadhering to laboratory deadlines for result generation.- Responsible for enhancing elements of laboratory quality control, including theintroduction of Excel-based control measures on check sample consistency.- Involved in the design of Excel-based result reporting templates for clients,incorporating the comparison of results to desirable levels developed in-house, aswell as aspects of graphic design
