Having had several roles during my time at Bluestep, usually at the same time, I have had the opportunity to work broadly and cross departmental. Some of the responsibilities I've had during my years at Bluestep:• Preparing and analyzing internal financial reports to the board and owners, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis• Providing financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions, like pricing strategies and profitability• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes• Developing and implementing financial models and tools• Preparing group consolidation and leading the annual reporting process• Maintaining allocation of internal charges and transfer pricing within the group• Assisting with financial DD streams• Responsible for regulatory reporting for the Norwegian branch, as well as data reporting to governmental agencies in Sweden• Ensuring correct accounting treatment of financial instruments

As an Accountant at Reitan Convenience, my role was to manage financial transactions and ensure compliance with accounting standards for ~30 small legal entities within the retail sector. My key responsibilities included:• Preparing and presenting accurate financial reports• Participating in internal and external audits to ensure financial integrity• Financial reporting to governmental agencies• Analysing costs and cash flows• Developing and maintaining financial models and tools to help increase automation and efficiency

Worked in parallel as a research assistant, teaching assistant, course assistant, and lecturer while I conducted quantitative research related to IFRS standards. Ended my doctoral programme early when I realised that it was not my calling.
