Collaborated with colleagues to develop a potential solution to predict long-term stability studies using accelerated laboratory data. The goal of my internship was to figure out how to predict the shelf life of a drug given only a month of laboratory data. Discovered through research that the solution to our problem was to create an Accelerated Predictive Stability Program. Built an accelerated predictive stability program through Minitab that uses accelerated laboratory studies to predict the shelf life of drugs. The program has predictive capabilities that will allow for more calculated and statistically correct decisions when selecting their drug formulation. Designed and implemented an accelerated predictive stability study design. My design allows for selecting the number of storage conditions, selecting temperature and humidity conditions, and selecting duration and time points.Presented and trained company employees to use and understand the benefits of my predictive software and study design.Saved the company $25,000 a year through the development of this program because the company no longer has to source the work to an outside vendor.
