I am currently providing support for custom alarm, video surveillance and physical access control systems. I am also working toward getting my Cisco CCNA certification.At the beginning of Covid I completed my Network Administration Specialist Diploma at the Centre for Arts and Technology in Kelowna BC. The diploma program covered Windows Server; Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and Powershell. It has also covered Linux; CentOS & Ubuntu (creating DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Mail and Web Servers), Bash Scripting and Openstack. We also covered cisco networking, wireless networking and IT security. We were introduced to IT project management and ITIL. Outside of school I have also been using CBT Nuggets and my home lab (rack mount servers, cisco routers, switches and voip phones) setup to expand my knowledge base. Also trying to become more familiar with Mac. Formerly an Executive (Board) member of Central Okanagan Search and Rescue; served as GSAR (ground search and rescue), Public Relations Director & Director of First Aid and Safety. Also formely a member of Ellison Fire Department Station 61 , a Regional District of Central Okanagan paid on-call hall as a firefighter. Spent over 3 years working as and industrial medic at the BC EMR level in the Oil and Gas industry in NE BC. Several years working as Framer/Apprentice.
