My name is Dan Marsden, I am currently in the role of National Process/Change Manager for Asda Logistics Service. I started at Asda in 2008 moving from Retail to Distribution in 2013 and then being promoted to regional change manager and restructured to National Process/Change manager in 2018My management journey began at 17 years old as a store colleague in Asda when I joined the stepping stones programme, 18 years later I am fully competent in people management, leading large and small teams and all aspects of disciplinary and grievance procedures. Dealing with Stock Integrity and hitting targets on a daily basis, aswell as stepping up to run shifts and motivating large and small teams of colleagues.In 2018 I had a great opportunity to move into the change/project management side of the business working with sites to apply continuous improvement methodologies to push the business forward. this has also allowed me to work on my personal development pursuing an apprenticeship for improvement technician, Time Study & MOST Qualifications to give me a good base to actively engage, improve and land projects.Also by involving myself within training elements, presenting engaging leadership sessions welcoming new managers to the business, creation of training plans and Standard operating proceduresFor the last 2 years I have been involved in the Process Team landing a major Technology change within the business. Landing a brand new Warehouse management system across 18 ambient and chilled sites and in clothing and complex also. This has involved initial design working with the new supplier, creation of process maps, standard operating procedures and all elements of training materials, as well as a robust set of compliance and potential risk documents allowing smooth transition from one system to another with minimal impact to the business. On a personal note I am a passionate football fan, season ticket holder at Stoke City FC and enjoy playing most sport. I got married in 2017 to Charlotte and became a father in 2018 to my son Oliver and in 2021 to my daughter Ella I am also a kids football coach with an u7's team as I am passionate about youth development within grassroots.
