Aston Medical School: Conversion of existing building to Medical School. Demolition of buildings necessitated design of a new landscape on made-up ground with level change of circa 4m at the main entrance. Design addressed these problems & delivered a “people centred” solution - encouraging circulation of peopleKnowledge Hub Masterplan: Winner of Practice of the year National Urban Design Awards, 2017. Masterplan of large area of city centre including higher & further education, innovation & incubation sites, & commercial development. Worked with Birmingham City University to produce a plan that includes proposals for key areas across the Knowledge Hub Typhoo Wharf: Redevelopment of city centre site. Worked with architects to masterplan buildings & public realm at the same time. Building work will be phased so landscape needs to be phased & deliver impact from day 1 Saint George’s Urban Village: Residential development in the Jewellery Quarter. Apartments & town houses. Design of hard & soft landscape from RIBA II to completion. Included NBS spec, maintenance schedules / detailed drawings & levels Much Wenlock: Social housing build of 10 units. I worked on the LVIA for HS2, which included site work, contributing to report appendices, and co-ordination of photography. Other main areas of work included stage F of Phase Two of the new BCU city campus where I ensured that contractors had the information they needed, and made necessary design changes following design team meetings, and managing the landscape maintenance of 15 Coal Authority sites in England and Wales. BCU city campus is an exemplary BIM project which provided me with the opportunity to learn about the processes and technology involved in BIM. Previous work at Atkins included concepts for new public realm work in Derby city centre, LVIA site work, and report writing, and co-ordination of BIM training and readiness.
